I found a great site for educational printables and articles (and lots more) at education.com. They have a page just for Minnesota printable coloring sheets and worksheets that are great for anytime including summer road trips!
To get the free worksheets, you’ll need to view an ad (which you can skip right away) and then you’ll need to register for a free account. This account will give you limited free worksheet downloads per month.
Recently I was invited to participate in a blog tour and review of a new book called All You Need Is Less: The Eco-Friendly Guide to Guilt-Free Living and Stress-Free Simplicity by Madeleine Somerville.
All You Need Is Less is a funny, real and practical guide to living green while saving money. And it does so without vilifying anyone who uses plastic bags and Lysol.
Eco-blogger Madeleine Somerville even starts the book right away with a laugh at how most eco-friendly books start: “terror-inducing lists of the carcinogenic chemicals you are liberally slathering all over every single surface of your house, painting you as an unwitting eco-villain, happily Lysol-ing you way straight to Hades.” (I know what she’s talking about – I have some of these books!) Kids Bowl Free is a program designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer. Select schools and bowling centers around the country participate each year, including 28 in Minnesota!
Yes – this is for real!
Update (5/1/14): I just found out this deal was not intended for an online audience so if you signed up for this free book and received an email from Simon & Schuster explaining that it’s no longer available, this is why. I apologize for posting the deal and for any inconvenience. Here’s the email they sent out:

This is my review of Bitsy’s Brainfood Cereals. I was provided with complimentary cereals. All opinions are 100% mine.
Our family loves and eats cereal every day.
Therefore, I do my best to buy healthful and organic cereals that my kids will also like, which is why I was curious and pleased to review three new organic and healthful cereals from Bitsy’s Brainfood.
Created by two moms, the new line of cereals offers families “a smarter cereal alternative made from organic ingredients and real fruits and veggies, all packaged in way that’s educational and fun.”
Bitsy’s cereal is available in three flavor combinations: Fruit & Veggie 1,2,3, Carrot Raisin Crunch, and Banana Squash Squares.
