Frugal families and garage sales go hand in hand – and the Twin Cities are always bustling with garage sales and estate sales galore.
I’ve partnered with GSalR.com to provide these interactive maps of sales happening here in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Just click on a map and to drag it any direction or zoom in or out, and click on any sale for more info.
Be sure to use GSalR.com to add your own upcoming sale! It’s free and you can add a sale directly from the “Add a Sale” button on the top right of the maps below.
If you live in the suburbs and don’t see sales listed in your area, click on the GSalR.com logo on the map and you can search by any city.

Some tips for shopping!
Garage Sale Shopping Tips
Whether you’re hunting for vintage treasures, kids’ clothes, furniture, tools, or collectibles, a little strategy can make your garage sale trip far more successful. Add these tips to your garage sale maps page to help shoppers get the most out of their day.
Start Early — But Not Too Early
The best items usually disappear fast, especially in busy neighborhoods or community-wide sales. Serious bargain hunters often arrive within the first hour. At the same time, arriving before the posted start time can frustrate sellers, so try to be respectful.
Bring Cash in Small Bills
Many garage sale sellers only accept cash. Bring plenty of $1s, $5s, and $10s so you can negotiate easily and avoid needing change.
Plan Your Route Ahead of Time
Use garage sale maps to organize your stops before leaving home. Prioritize neighborhoods or listings with the categories you want most — like baby gear, antiques, gaming items, tools, or furniture.
Look at Photos Carefully
Listings with multiple photos usually give a better idea of quality and inventory. Zoom in on tables and shelves — sometimes the best finds are hidden in the background.
Don’t Be Afraid to Negotiate
Polite bargaining is expected at most garage sales. Sellers are often more flexible later in the day, especially on larger items they don’t want to bring back inside.
Bring Measuring Tape & Vehicle Space
If you’re shopping for furniture, décor, bikes, or larger household items, keep a tape measure in your car and leave room for unexpected finds.
Check Items Before Buying
Test electronics when possible, inspect clothing for stains or tears, and look for missing pieces on toys, games, and appliances. Most garage sales are final sale.
Shop Community & Neighborhood Sales
Neighborhood-wide garage sales are often the best value because you can visit many sales in one area without driving across town.
Stay Safe While Shopping
Carry water, wear comfortable shoes, and avoid blocking driveways or mailboxes when parking. If shopping with children, keep them nearby in crowded sales.
Have Fun & Keep an Open Mind
Some of the best garage sale finds are completely unexpected. Be flexible, explore side streets, and enjoy the treasure hunt experience.
