Families with preschoolers! The FREE Valleyfair Pre-K Pass for 2023 is now available. With this pass your 3 – 5 year-old can get in to Valleyfair and Soak City for unlimited FREE visits during the 2023 season.

The process is a little different this year though. This year you have to purchase a Gold or Platinum Pass (which you would use for yourself), and then you register your child online for the free pass.

I guess this makes sense, since your child can’t visit alone, and a season pass is the best deal if you want to get multiple visits in. PLUS, if you buy it now – you can use your 2023 pass now through 2022!

Here’s what you have to do:

Step 1: Purchase a Gold or Platinum Pass. 

Step 2: Register your child online for their free Pre-K Pass by August 1, 2023. (Guests may not register at the park.) 

Step 3: After registering your child/children online, bring them to the park on a public operating day to activate their pass at the main entrance by August 1, 2023. Make sure to bring your child and a valid birth certificate or passport that shows their age. 

Step 4: After you activate your Pre-K Pass, your child can come and go as often as you’d like throughout the season – for FREE!

Whew. Valleyfair has done it again. They’ve put together a spook-tacular Halloween event and it’s now open! PLUS – I’ve found CHEAP, discounted tickets!

I visited Valleyfair with my kids during the “Tricks and Treats” opening weekend, and enjoyed some food samples and exploring the park. Most of the rides are open, but everything is Halloween-themed and very family-friendly.

The difference this year – 2022 – is that there is no ValleyScare. Instead, their Tricks and Treats event is for everyone, whether you want some scares or just a fun, candy-themed season.

There ARE some scares at Valleyfair, but I wouldn’t call them too scary for kids. For example, there are costumed “monsters” and spooky characters throughout the park, but there’s no blood, gore or truly scary sights.

Valleyfair is offering a special ticket price of only $28 to all teachers, education workers, school bus drivers, and their families during their Education Apprecation Days August 22 – September 5, 2022!

The total is only $30.07 per ticket after taxes!

Admission includes unlimited access to rides, shows, Planet Snoopy, and Soak City Waterpark! Tickets must be purchased online in advance to receive this special rate.

The tickets are then good for any day August 22 – September 5. (Follow the instructions on their website to plan your visit.)

The Great Pumpkin Fest is for families with kids of all ages. Enjoy not-so-scary fall activities, your favorite rides and attractions, live entertainment, and more!
