There are many fun places to visit in the Twin Cities this Mother’s Day weekend where moms and grandmas get in FREE! Plus, because it’s Minnesota Museums month, many museums are offering deals. Here are some I could find! (Check back for updates!)

American Swedish Institute. Moms and grandmas receive FREE museum admission on Mother’s Day!

The Bakken Museum. Though not Mother’s Day specific, admission is always FREE on the second Saturday of the month. On Saturday, May 9th come and explore our exhibits free of charge! Guests visiting the museum on the second Saturday of every month get free admission to the museum; we encourage you to stop by our Ax-Man table in the Great Hall to explore circuit-building and creativity and learn about our upcoming Invention Programs.

Bell Museum of Natural History. Free admission on Sunday, 12 – 5pm.

Como Zoo. Always free (though donations are welcome). Enjoy the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory’s Mother’s Day Bonsai Show Saturday and Sunday.

Procter & Gamble just opened a Tide Dry Cleaners in Apple Valley (7562 149^th St. West) — the first in Minnesota. The store utilizes GreenEarth technology, a non-toxic dry cleaning process that is safer on clothes and better for the environment.

In addition to being a brand consumers already trust, Tide Dry Cleaners offers a convenient drive-thru valet service, 24-hour pick up and drop off and is open 7 days a week with extended hours — a great perk for moms on the go.
