Looking for a fun Halloween outing in the Twin Cities? We had a lovely date night at The Haunted Burrow in Oakdale, and it was such a fun way to get into the Halloween spirit!
We had visited The Burrow before and had a blast, but this time felt extra special. Foxy’s Den was decked out for Halloween, there were new additions to explore, and there was so much to do that we ended up spending almost four hours there!
Whether you’re looking for a unique date night, a family outing, or a fun place to hang out with friends, The Burrow has a little bit of everything.
Foxy’s Den Gets a Halloween Makeover
One of the first things that stood out was all the Halloween decor! The Haunted Burrow had transformed Foxy’s Den into a spooky, festive destination filled with themed touches that made the whole experience feel even more fun.

From the decorations to the themed food and drinks, there were plenty of Halloween details to enjoy. It was a great atmosphere for a seasonal outing, whether you love Halloween or simply enjoy trying something different.
And, of course, we had to try some of the fun drinks!
Glowing Drinks and Spooky Eats
The themed drinks were a highlight of our visit. There’s something extra fun about sipping a glowing drink in a Halloween-decorated venue!
The Halloween-themed food and drinks fit right in with the atmosphere, making the experience feel like more than just a typical night out.

Another nice touch is that some drinks can be made without alcohol, so younger visitors and anyone who prefers a nonalcoholic option can still enjoy a fun, themed beverage. For example, the blood bag drink was actually made as a Shirley Temple!
It’s a playful way to enjoy the spooky theme without needing an alcoholic drink.

Indoor Mini Golf, Haunted Laser Tag, and More
If you think The Burrow is just about food and drinks, think again! There is SO much to do here.
We played mini golf, which was fun even though I’m really bad at it! One of the things I loved about this visit was seeing the additions they had made since our last trip, including bringing mini golf indoors.

We also played haunted laser tag, which was a great fit for the Halloween season. The spooky atmosphere made it even more entertaining. It’s two levels of fun too!
And the activities don’t stop there! The Burrow also offers:
- Arcade games
- Simulator games, including games where you throw balls at zombies
- Axe throwing
- Pickleball
There’s a nice mix of activities, so you can switch things up instead of spending the entire evening doing just one thing.
We had visited before and already enjoyed ourselves, but the new additions and Halloween decorations made this visit feel fresh and exciting. There was so much to explore that we could easily have stayed longer than the almost four hours we spent there!
Free Friday Night Movies and Popcorn!
Another fun feature to check out is The Burrow’s Friday night movie offerings during October.

They were offering free Friday night movies all month, including free popcorn! The schedule included both family-friendly movies and scary movies for grown-ups, giving visitors different options depending on the kind of evening they wanted.
Be sure to check the movie schedule before visiting, since movie selections and event dates can change.
A free movie and popcorn can be a great addition to an evening out, especially if you’re looking for an activity that doesn’t require spending more money.
Look for Deals to Make Your Visit More Affordable
With so many activities available, it’s worth checking out The Burrow’s specials before you go.
One deal highlighted during our visit was $20 arcade cards on Thursdays.
I always appreciate places that offer several different activities in one location. You can make your visit as relaxed or activity-packed as you like, depending on your plans and budget.
Be sure to check with The Burrow for current specials, pricing, and any restrictions before heading out.
A Great Spot for Date Nights, Families, and Friends
What I really liked about our visit was how many different ways there are to enjoy The Burrow.
It’s a fun option for couples who want something different for date night, families looking for activities to enjoy together, or friends who want to get together for a playful evening out.
You could stop in for drinks and a few games, plan an evening around the activities, or spend several hours trying everything you can.
We were there for almost four hours and still felt like we could have stayed longer! Between the Halloween decor, themed drinks and food, mini golf, laser tag, arcade games, and other attractions, there was plenty to keep us entertained.
The Halloween transformation made an already fun destination feel even more festive.
