The first-ever Build It Expo is coming up at The Works Museum in Bloomington—and I have a fun ticket giveaway for you!

This family-friendly engineering fair is on Saturday, April 11th from 10:00am – 4:00pm. It’s packed with hands-on activities, creative builds, and opportunities for kids to connect with real engineers and STEM professionals. If your kids love to tinker, build, and explore how things work, this is definitely an event to check out.

So what can you expect at Build It Expo?

Kids will get to dive into interactive experiences throughout the museum, including the Experience Gallery, where they can build with K’NEX, launch paper creations into the air, and design structures to test their strength and stability. It’s all about learning through play—and having a blast while doing it.

Beyond the activities, families can meet real engineers and STEM pros, giving kids a chance to see how creativity and problem-solving turn into real-world careers. It’s a great way to spark curiosity and maybe even inspire future builders and innovators!
