Veterans Day is a day to honor those who have given so much to our country.

Veterans Day 2025 is on Tuesday, November 11th and many retailers and restaurants are offering freebies and discounts to Veterans and their families. Below is the list of Veterans Day Freebies for 2025.

Keep in mind that for most you will need to provide proof of your active military or veteran status to take advantage of these deals. Some deals, under “Freebies & Online Deals” are good for anyone!

Super 8 – Eligible military members can save 15% on their Best Available Rate at participating Super 8 by Wyndham hotels in the U.S. and Canada. (For limited dates) Plus earn 1000 bonus points.

Wyndham Hotels – Eligible military members can enjoy everyday savings of up to 15% off their Best Available Rate at participating hotels across the U.S. and Canada. Plus, for a limited time, Wyndham Rewards members receive 1,000 bonus points for qualified stays booked by December 8 and completed by December 31, 2025—up to 5,000 bonus points total.

Stores & Services

Great Clips – On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, veterans and active service members can go into any U.S. Great Clips salon and get a free haircut or a free haircut card for a future visit. 

Kohl’s – Active military, veterans, retirees and their immediate family members receive 15% off qualifying purchases on Mondays, in-store only. 

Nick and Drew’s Discount Foods (3 Minnesota locations) – Veterans save 25% off purchases on Veterans Day.

Office Depot & Office Max – Veterans and military receive 20% off.

Sport Clips – Participating stores will offer free haircuts for Veterans & Active Duty Service Members on Veterans Day, November 11.

Target – Target is offering a 10% military discount to all U.S. active-duty military personnel, veterans and their families. The 10% discount can be used on two separate transactions, in store or online.

Walgreens – On November 8th through 11th, veterans, military and their families will receive 20% off eligible regular price items in Walgreens stores. This offer is valid in store only.

Attractions and Events (National)

Free Admission to National Parks – Every year on November 11th EVERYONE can get free admission into any National Park nationwide.

Attractions and Events where Veterans get in FREE or discounted (Minnesota)

Emagine Minnesota: All veterans and active military are invited to visit one of their locations to receive free tickets for themselves and one guest on November 11.

Minnesota Zoo – In appreciation of veterans, current military personnel, and military families, the Minnesota Zoo is offering free admission the entire month of November to Veteran’s and active military personnel. Immediate family members (up to 6 people total) will receive 50% off admission. Does not include parking. (Free parking will be extended on Nov 11.)

Museum of Illusions – Mall of America – Museum of Illusions at Mall of America is proud to offer complimentary admission to U.S. Veterans over the Veterans Day holiday week. From Nov. 11 through Nov. 17, both active military and retired U.S. Veterans may redeem free admission in person with proof of valid military ID! Read about our fun visit.

St. Michael Cinema (St. Michael): Active military and veterans receive 50% OFF “Solo Combo” — a medium popcorn and large drink — Veterans Day only at St. Michael Cinema. Just show any valid ID at the concession stand to redeem. Valid 11/11/2025 only.

Restaurants:

Many places offers Active Duty Service Members, Guard Members and Veterans a FREE Meal on Veterans Day. Make sure you pass on this information to anyone you know who is a Veteran or Active Duty so they can snag a free meal too! All places require proof of military service, proof of service includes Military ID, Discharge Papers, DD214 and being in uniform. What proof of service required depends on the restaurant.

Applebee’s: Each year, veterans are invited to pick from one of 8 free meals as a Thank you to service members. 

Benihana: This Veterans Day, we honor the courage, commitment, and sacrifice of those who serve. Join us Sunday, November 9 through Tuesday, November 11, and enjoy a free entrée (up to $59 value) as our way of saying thank you.

Bruegger’s Bagels: Free cup of hot or iced coffee on November 11th (sent in email to rewards members). “Please mention this offer to the cashier (Promo Code 8227 In-Bakery) and they will apply the discount or if ordering Online or in the App, use Promo Code FREECOFFEE when you check out.”

Buca di Beppo: We invite all active military and veterans to join us for a free lunch portion entrée Today, November 11th, until 3:00 PM. Just present an acceptable proof of service (military ID, veteran’s ID card, or a driver’s license with a veteran’s designation) when you dine in.

Caribou Coffee: Free large coffee of the day or cold press with valid ID on Nov. 11th.

Chili’s: Is offering all military veterans past and present their choice of one of 4 meal options. Offer only available at participating Chili’s in the U.S. only. Dine-in from limited menu only.

Cracker Barrel – In celebration of Veterans Day, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is proud to honor the brave men and women who have served our country by offering a complimentary Sunrise Pancake Special, a scratch-made breakfast favorite, to all veterans and active-duty military dining in on November 11th at any of the nearly 660 Cracker Barrel locations.

Cuppa More Pages (Inver Grove Heights): Veterans receive a *free black coffee* and *10% off anything else* with a valid ID.

Denny’s: Veterans and military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast on Nov. 11 from 5 a.m.- noon. 

Duck Donuts (Woodbury): Veterans and active-duty military members can enjoy a FREE Classic Donut as our thank you for your service.

Margaritaville (Mall of America): Exclusive 15% discount* to all active-duty Service Members and Veterans of the Armed Forces at participating locations. Must verify status with GOVx.

Perkins: Veterans get a Free Great American Trio on November 11th. Must show military ID.

Red Robin: Free Red’s Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on November 11.

Sammy’s Pizza & Restaurant: Free lunch buffet for veterans and active duty service members on November 11. Elk River and Coon Rapids locations.

Starbucks: On November 11th, Veterans, service members and military spouses get a FREE free tall (12 fl oz) brewed coffee (hot or iced).

Taco John’s: Get a free small beef Crispy or Softshell Taco Combo on November 11th by presenting a military ID or proof of service. Stop by in-store or at the drive-thru!

TCBY – Veterans and active military receive their first 6 oz free on November 11th with proof of service.

Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch on Veterans Day 11:00am – 2:00pm. Choose from 10 entrees as a thank you for your legendary service.
