I am the coupon queen of my entire family. In my purse I always carry several envelopes full of coupons for everything from groceries to eating out to gas at the gas station, and never go somewhere without checking if I have a coupon first. My husband jokes that on my tombstone it will say something like “Is there a coupon for this?” He knows I always do everything possible to save our family money. If there’s a coupon for it, I’ll find it and use it!
In celebration of National Coupon Month in September, I received a free copy of the NEW 2014 Entertainment Coupon Book for review, and because of my passion for coupons and great deals, this may be one of my favorite reviews to date!
Entertainment sells over 145 book and access memberships in the USA and Canada. I received the Entertainment 2014 Coupon Book for the Twin Cities & Twin Ports area which has hundreds of pages of coupons for everything from dining out to entertainment & sports to travel & hotels to retail stores, both local and national, and more!

Because I’m from Duluth and we visit family and friends up there regularly, I love that this coupon book has a whole section of Twin Ports area coupons. This is great for anyone who lives in the Duluth/Superior area, or for anyone who visits there during the year. There are restaurant coupons, like for Bulldog Pizza (which is really good) and Timber Lodge Steakhouse, and there are buy one get one free admission coupons for attractions like the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, Glensheen Mansion, Richard I . Bong Museum, and many more.
Though most coupons are 50% off deals or buy one get one free offers, I did find a Taco Bell for a free Fresco Crunchy Taco, no purchase required.
Entertainment’s mission has been to help strengthen local communities, save people money and drive business to local merchants. They also help tens of thousands of organizations through their fundraising program by helping them raise over $2.5 billion dollars!
Here are different options for buying a 2014 Entertainment Book:
- As I mentioned earlier, you can buy the coupon book for your area online now for $35.00 and get FREE shipping and a FREE $25 Restaurant Certificate. Remember, the coupon book includes digital access to more coupons. The sooner you buy one, the sooner you can start saving.
- A cheaper option is to buy only the online and mobile digital access for $19.99. That way you print only the coupons you want.
- Support a local organization by buying the coupon book from a fundraiser. Check with your local schools or with friends and family. Get great deals and support a local cause!
- Buy the book as a GIFT! About 10 years ago when I was working a temp job after college, all the employees including temp employees received an Entertainment Coupon Book as a Christmas gift. Though I hardly remember the job, I’ll never forget that gift because it was so valuable and so much fun! This book makes a great gift so consider getting a copy or more for some friends or family.
- Buy one book for your extended family or friends to share. There are so many coupons in this book that there’s no way one family can use them all. If you can share coupons with family or friends (the nice thing is there are multiple copies of many coupons), I recommend this option. Split the cost of a book with others and you’ll all save and benefit.
In the past I’ve questioned whether actually spending money to save money with a coupon book was worth it, but now that I’ve thoroughly looked through the book and found ones I know my family will use, I can see how the $35.00 cost will quickly pay for itself with all the savings. Visit the ENTERTAINMENT website to find out more!
Disclosure: I received my own free copy of the 2014 Entertainment Coupon Book (Twin Cities & Twin Ports area edition) for writing this review. All opinions are 100% mine!
I was so unhappy about how the 2014 book is laid out! This is a deal breaker for our family and this will be the last book we purchace.
Past versions have had multiple indexes including coupons by city. We travel within MN frequently and this has been great. This year there is only one index that is alphabetic, pretty useless when trying to get the biggest bang from this book.
Mary – Thanks for sharing. I didn’t realize previous versions of the coupon book had indexes including by city. While I think the 2014 version has good coupons, I agree this would have been helpful. I hope future coupon books will bring the various indexes back because it would help people planning their outings.
