On Labor Day, Savers has a 50% off sale on all clothing, shoes, accessories & home/bath items! This makes saving at Savers Thrift Store even more simple. If you need to get some last-minute back-to-school shopping done this is a great sale event! Plus, Halloween costumes and decorations arrive in Savers stores on September 1st, so you’ll have a great early selection!
My family had a great shopping day at Savers Thrift Store on Wednesday, August 15th. How? We got $102 worth of clothes for our family for $51! It was a sale day for Super Savers club members featuring 50% off clothing, shoes, accessories & home/bath items if you spend $50 or more! (Join this free club and you’ll get email alerts about sales and events just for members!)
Our family needed some new clothes for the fall season so we spent a couple hours shopping at the Columbia Heights Savers store that morning (you need at least that much time to cover even just a portion of the store!).
We easily filled our cart with clothes for all 4 of us, all of which were in great condition:

I bought 3 blouses, 2 cardigan sweaters, 1 active wear top, 1 pair of active wear capris (I needed new workout clothes!), and 1 pair of dark gray dress pants for work. I loved that they were familiar brands, too…New York & Company, Nicole Miller New York, Apt. 9, Ginger G, Cherokee.
My husband bought a set of camouflage coveralls which were originally $14 – we got them for $7. (They’re not pictured because he got them dirty already!)
Our 4-year-old daughter Heidi was thrilled to find some Hello Kitty items – a T-shirt and a purse – as Hello Kitty is her favorite! She also found a cute pink skirt (pink is her favorite color).

I found a bunch of cute items for our 1-year-old, Thor. I wanted to buy more than I did because it was hard to choose(!), but I did get a good assortment of clothes for him: 2 onesies, 4 shirts, 1 vest, 1 sweater, and 2 pairs of pants. Because he LOVES cars and trucks (he actually sleeps with his toy cars!), I bought him several shirts with cars or trucks on them, including Bob the Builder! And since my husband likes really “manly” things, he liked the camouflage items I got for Thor. (Gotta make our men happy!) 🙂
I also bought a neat car seat organizer for the kids’ stuff in the car, like sippy cups and toys. It has a Winnie the Pooh design and was in great shape.

The original prices of all the items we bought ranged from $.99 to about $14.00, but were 50% off because they totaled $102 which was more than the minimum $50 for the 50% off deal. So we only spent $51!
Visit the Savers website for your closest store location and more information about their Labor Day sale. (Note: The sale is open to everyone and with no minimum purchase required for the 50% off!)
