Ornaments on the Christmas tree are such a unique, personal way to decorate for the holidays. Our tree is decorated all kinds including handmade, souvenir and others with special meaning, as well as a few just for fun.
Here is a Christmas tree ornament that can be made by you and your kids!
It’s a DIY Gumball Machine Christmas Ornament, and is cute and unique! It’s easy and made with simple items, and you can pick whatever pom pom colors you like.
It also makes a great gift!
NOTE: If your kids are little and want to make these, be sure to supervise and help with the glue gun.
Supplies:
Mini red solo cup
Clear plastic ball ornament
Mini pom poms
Black felt tip sharpie marker (a regular Sharpie marker with a fine tip will work)
Hot glue gun
Bakers twine
All of these can be found at stores like Michaels and Walmart, or online.
There are a ton of options on Amazon, and I included a few links above. You may be able to find them cheaper in your local store.
(I love Amazon Prime because you can get fast, free shipping – did you know you can get Prime for only $5.99 a month if you’re an EBT or Medicaid cardholder? Learn more here)
Directions:
Fill the clear plastic ornament with 12-20 mini pom poms.
Draw a door on the bottom of the cup with a black sharpie.
Use the hot glue gun to glue the ornament to the top of the cup.
