Recently my husband and I had the opportunity to attend a special dinner hosted by Bakeful, a family-owned baked goods company whose products are now available at Target and Walmart.

The event brought together a group of local bloggers, influencers, guests, and representatives from both Bakeful and Target for an evening of conversation, good food, and learning more about the brand’s story. We enjoyed social time, dinner, and even a few sweet cocktails while hearing directly from the people behind Bakeful.

One of my favorite parts of the evening was learning about the company’s journey. Bakeful is based in California, with products made in Chicago, and the founders shared how exciting it has been to see their family business grow and reach major retailers. Their motto, “Ful of joy. Ful of flavor. Ful stop,” reflects the fun, family-centered spirit they brought to the event.

The dinner itself was wonderful, with a menu that included chicken, steak, vegetables, fresh bread, salad, and dessert. It was a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and my husband and I both had a great time meeting new people and learning more about the brand.

Of course, no Bakeful event would be complete without plenty of baked goods. At the end of the evening, guests were invited to take home a variety of Bakeful products to sample and enjoy. We brought home several different items, including mini donuts, mini muffins, and mini brownies, and spent the next few days trying them all.

We tried everything in the picture above and overall, we were impressed. The muffins were moist and satisfying, the donuts were soft and flavorful, and several of the brownie varieties quickly disappeared from our kitchen. The only product that wasn’t a favorite for us was the blueberry muffins, as we found some of the blueberries to be a bit firm. Other than that, we genuinely enjoyed everything we tried.
I asked my family what they liked best – here were each person’s favorites:
- My daughter especially liked the Chocolate Dipped Donuts.
- My son especially liked the Confetti Brownies.
- My husband and I both especially liked the Salted Caramel Brownies (pictured below on the bottom left).

Another thing that stood out to me was Bakeful’s focus on using better ingredients than many similar packaged baked goods. For example, the products use real cane sugar and cage free eggs. Plus they use 25% less sugar than other similar brands! It’s nice to find convenient treats that still prioritize quality, healthier ingredients without sacrificing flavor.
After attending the event and trying the products at home, I can see why Bakeful is gaining attention. It’s always enjoyable to discover a family-owned company that’s passionate about what they create, and even better when the products taste good too.
Here’s what they offer:

If you’re shopping at Target or Walmart, keep an eye out for Bakeful products and see which variety becomes your favorite!
My daughter and I saw them at Target – they were $6.99 a box. Find them with the snack cakes, usually in the bread aisle!
