My husband and I recently enjoyed a date night at the Minnesota Aurora FC season opener, and it was such a fun experience!
The game was held at TCO Stadium in Eagan—the same facility where the Minnesota Vikings train—and the atmosphere was incredible. The crowd was energetic, the weather cooperated (mostly!), and Aurora dominated the match with an impressive 6-0 victory.
If you’ve never been to a Minnesota Aurora FC game, I highly recommend adding one to your summer bucket list. And I have an exclusive 10% discount code to help make it easier!

Why Minnesota Aurora FC Is So Special
Minnesota Aurora FC is the largest community-owned soccer team in the United States, and their story is pretty remarkable. Since launching in 2021, they have built an incredibly loyal fan base and have become one of the most exciting sports experiences in Minnesota.
After seeing a game in person, it’s easy to understand why so many people love supporting this team.

A Fun and Affordable Family Outing
While this game was a date night for my husband and me, which worked perfectly, I couldn’t help noticing family-friendly the experience was.
Here are a few reasons families love attending Aurora games:
- General admission tickets start at just $20
- FREE parking
- Kids age 3 and under are FREE
- Post-game player autographs in Autograph Alley
- Great concessions and rotating food trucks
- A welcoming, community-focused atmosphere
Whether you’re planning a family outing, a girls’ night, or a date night, it’s a great way to spend an evening.

Tips for Attending a Minnesota Aurora FC Game
A few things I learned from our visit:
Bring a Seat Cushion or Blanket
The seating consists of bleachers, so bringing a cushion or blanket can make your experience more comfortable, especially during a longer game.
Dress in Layers
Even on a nice day, it can get windy or cool in the evening. We were glad to have extra layers with us.
Come Hungry
There were plenty of concession options and food trucks available, making it easy to grab dinner or snacks during the game.
Bring an Empty Plastic Water Bottle
One of my favorite discoveries was that guests can bring an empty plastic water bottle and refill it at the stadium. It’s a great way to stay hydrated without paying premium event prices for bottled water.
Stay Afterward for Autographs!
Autograph Alley is available after games for autographs from the players!
And get a photo with Rory the Aurorasaurus, their mascot!

Bringing a Group?
Groups of 10 or more can receive special pricing packages and group experiences.
