Minneapolis Rodeo 2026 is bringing the first-ever outdoor PRCA rodeo to Minneapolis on June 6th, 2026, and it’s happening at Surly Festival Field — which immediately caught my attention because we already love heading to Surly Brewing and the Food Hall there (my husband says Surly beer is the best!).

What is Minneapolis Rodeo?

On Saturday, June 6th, Festival Field at Surly Brewing will transform into a one-day celebration of western culture, complete with elite cowboys and cowgirls competing for PRCA points on their road to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

What to Expect at Minneapolis Rodeo 2026

The event officially kicks off at noon with family-friendly rodeo programming and interactive experiences throughout the grounds. There will be plenty happening all day long, including:

• Mutton busting
• Mechanical bull riding
• Country line dancing and two-stepping
• Western-inspired activities
• A curated artisan and vintage vendor market
• Local food vendors
• Live music throughout the day

I also like that you could easily make this a daytime family outing OR stay later and turn it into a fun summer night out with the concerts.

I’m also excited about the local vendor marketplace because you know I can’t resist browsing small businesses, vintage finds, and local makers while grabbing snacks.

The event is also partnering with Folds of Honor Minnesota, an organization that provides educational scholarships to spouses and children of fallen or disabled service members and first responders.

The Main Rodeo Begins at 4 PM

Starting at 4:00 p.m., the main arena becomes the center of the action as professional athletes compete in official PRCA rodeo events.
