If you’re looking for a fun, active, and completely free way to get your kids involved in sports this summer, the Minnesota Twins Community Fund Youth Baseball & Softball Clinics are back—and they’re traveling all across the state!

Running from May 2nd through August 14th, 2026, these clinics bring the joy of baseball and softball directly into communities throughout Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. For more than 60 years, this program has been a staple of summer for thousands of kids, helping them learn the game in an encouraging and inclusive environment.
What to Expect
Each clinic offers two hours of hands-on instruction led by Minnesota Twins Youth Clinicians. The focus is on building fundamental skills—throwing, hitting, fielding, and base running—while keeping things fun and approachable for all participants.
The clinics are designed for kids ages 6–12, and one of the best parts is that no prior experience is required. Kids of all abilities are welcome. Whether your child is picking up a glove for the first time or already loves the game, they’ll feel right at home.
Completely Free for Families
These clinics are 100% free to attend, making them an incredible resource for families looking for affordable summer activities! They’re also free for communities to host, thanks to support from the Twins Community Fund and Great River Energy.
Why It Matters
Programs like this go beyond just teaching sports skills. They help kids:
- Stay active during the summer months
- Build confidence and teamwork
- Try something new in a low-pressure environment
- Connect with other kids in their community
It’s also a great introduction to baseball and softball for kids who may not otherwise have access to organized sports.
How to Join
Clinics take place every weekend throughout the summer, in locations across Minnesota and neighboring regions. Because spots can fill up quickly, it’s a good idea to check the schedule and register in advance when possible.
