The Great Pumpkin Trail in Wyoming, Minnesota is back in 2025!
The Great Pumpkin Trail is back for its second year at Pinehaven Farm in Wyoming, Minnesota—and it’s every bit as magical as it looks in the photos. We went last year and were blown away. Rarely does an event look exactly like the advertisements, but this one does!
And this year, I have exclusive discounts to share—so keep reading!

What Is the Great Pumpkin Trail?
The Great Pumpkin Trail is an illuminated outdoor Halloween experience featuring hundreds of glowing, carved pumpkins, themed light displays, music, and live entertainers. It runs weekends and select weeknights from October 3rd through November 2, 2025 at Pinehaven Farm.
You’ll stroll through pumpkin-lined paths, meet quirky characters (like a mayor and princess who love to photobomb!), and enjoy a festive courtyard with food trucks, fire pits, and family-friendly activities.

Our Experience
I went with my teens on a Sunday evening to avoid the larger Friday/Saturday crowds (since The Dead End Hayride is right next door). Parking was easy and free, and while it was lively, it never felt overwhelming.
Highlights included:
-
Recognizable pumpkin carvings (Toy Story, Peanuts, spooky creatures, and more).
-
Iconic Halloween music like Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
-
A glowing Eiffel Tower and light-up trails perfect for photos.
-
Entertainers who playfully interact with guests.
-
A courtyard to warm up, grab food, and relax.
We spent about 45 minutes on the trail and another half hour enjoying food and fire pits—but you could easily stay longer.

This is actually the area you walk through when you arrive. You can either go left to the Great Pumpkin Trail, or right to the Dead End Hayride.
(So yes, for those who have asked, you can easily do both in one evening. However, each takes at least an hour so you will be outside that much longer – just keep that in mind.)
A lot of families take pictures in this area as there are many great backdrops.

You can spend as long as you want at The Great Pumpkin Trail, or go back to the Pinehaven courtyard for food and warm beverages.

Tips for Visiting
-
Restrooms: Porta-potties only, and they’re dark. Bring a small flashlight or phone light.
-
What to Wear: Dress warm! We needed coats, hats, and gloves even in the 50s. Comfortable walking shoes are a must.
-
Best Days to Go: Sundays and weeknights are less crowded (and cheaper). Fridays, Saturdays, and Halloween night are busiest.
-
Timing: Plan at least 1–2 hours if you want to enjoy both The Great Pumpkin Trail and Pinehaven activities.
