State Fair season is here in Minnesota!
But if you’re not feeling the heat, crowds, or long lines, don’t worry — the fun doesn’t have to end. The Fair on 4 at Mall of America serves up all the flavor and excitement of the “Great Minnesota Get-Together” without stepping foot outside – and it’s open year-round!

Fair Food, Minus the Lines
From what I’ve been seeing on the menu, the food is everything we love about the State Fair, just without the sweat:
-
Blue Ribbon Burger – Crispy fried cheese curds, bacon, caramelized onions, house brown gravy, and horseradish aioli on a brioche bun ($18).
-
Fairway Pizza – Pepperoni, bacon, mozzarella, fried cheese curds, drizzled with sauces and sprinkled with chives ($21).
-
The Midway Basket – Corn dog, fried cheese curds, and pickle chips with sauces for dunking ($16).
And for parents looking for a bold drink (or just something fun to sip), there are treats like a Caramel Apple Float, Milk & Cookies cocktail, and even a Spicy Pickle Martini.
Fun Beyond Food
The Fair on 4 isn’t just a food destination. There’s go-kart racing, axe throwing, and now the new Dartsee game — a high-tech, interactive dart experience perfect for families or groups of friends. It looks like a great way to enjoy the fair vibe indoors while keeping the kids entertained.
If you’re looking to celebrate State Fair season without the heat and chaos, this seems like a perfect family-friendly option to check out at Mall of America. I know it’s on my radar for a future outing — and I’ll be especially excited to see if the kids love the fried cheese curds as much as I think they will!
