Free Carousel Rides at Como Zoo are back in 2025!

The famous Cafesjian’s Carousel at Como Zoo is open all summer long from May 1st through Labor Day, plus weekends in September and October, and offers free rides from 11:00am – 4:00pm on select dates in the summer.
You can ride FREE on the last Tuesday of each month all summer long in 2025!
Free Ride Dates for 2025
Tuesday, May 27th
11:00am – 4:00pm
Tuesday, June 24th
11:00am – 4:00pm
Tuesday, July 29th
11:00am – 4:00pm
Tuesday, August 26th
11:00am – 4:00pm
Tuesday, September 30th
11:00am – 4:00pm
Otherwise, on all other days, rides are $4 each. Exception: Children under age 1 ride free with paying adult. (This price went up last year from $3 per ride.)
Note – the carousel does not operate when the temperature is below 45 or above 95 degrees (guess those horses get hot – ha!). So check in advance if it’s operating.
And the carousel is accessible and can accommodate one wheelchair per ride.
Cafesjian’s Carousel is located in St. Paul’s Como Park, just south of the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory and the Visitor Center.

Como Zoo is free EVERY day. They do accept donations though.
So if you’re headed to the carousel you might as well stay and see the animals!
