Doors Open Minneapolis is BACK on May 17-18, 2025 and you can do all of this and more for FREE!
Doors Open Minneapolis started in 2019, paused in 2020 due to the pandemic, and then came back in 2o23! It was created by a historic preservation nonprofit organization called Rethos, and “provides a unique chance to explore the buildings that tell a city’s story.”
This year, it’s back again May 17 – 18, 2025!
There are 75 venues this year! The number is a little lower than last year but it’s still fabulous.

- Disciples Ministry Church-Mikro Kodesh Synagogue
- House of Balls
- Minnesota Star Tribune
- Metro Transit Blue Line Operations & Maintenance

- Theodore Wirth Home
- The Lift Garage

The event is May 17th and 18th in Minneapolis from 10:00am – 5:00pm each day, but each venue’s hours vary.
Note: There are some events that are ticketed and charge a fee.
There are FREE parking lots and you can get FREE Metro Transit passes.
