The Ice Palace officially opened its frosty doors on Saturday, January 11th, offering a magical experience packed with fun and interactive features.
Here’s what makes The Ice Palace so special:
Highlights to Explore
- 🧊 Ice Tunnels: Wander through enchanting ice tunnels that feel like stepping into a frozen wonderland.
- 🧊 Acoustic Dome: Step into the dome where the acoustics are surprisingly amplified, making sound resonate in fun and unexpected ways.
- 🧊 Musical “Ice Organ”: Ever wanted to play music on ice? This unique feature lets visitors create tunes with frosty “pipes!”
- 🧊 Characters: Special guests will be making appearances each weekend. For example, on opening weekend they had the Grinch!
- 🧊 Food Vendors: Warm up with tasty treats and hot drinks from local vendors.
- 🧊 Gift Shop: Bring home a piece of the magic with keepsakes and gifts.
- 🧊 Special Events: Keep an eye out for themed events and live entertainment throughout the season.
Pro Tips for Visiting
- Dress Warmly: Temperatures can get frigid quickly. Bundle up in layers, including hats, gloves, and warm footwear. While there are fires to warm up by, it’s best to come prepared for the cold.
- Plan for Accessibility: Unfortunately, the Ice Palace isn’t wheelchair or stroller-friendly due to its crushed ice ground. Families with young children should consider bringing sleds to pull the little ones around.
Fun for Families
For kids and kids-at-heart, there’s a small sledding hill with an ice slide that promises plenty of giggles and winter fun. Even though some parts of the Ice Palace are still being finalized, there’s already plenty to see and do, making it well worth the visit.
The Ice Palace is a family-owned business!
The Ice Palace is run by a family and I got to meet Kira from that family, who is one of the co-founders! I learned from her about their challenges – like the warm-up we had earlier this winter that set them back and melted a lot of the ice! Thankfully they were able to recreate the ice as it’s been very cold.

The Ice Palace is open Thursdays through Sundays, and ticket prices are as follows:
-
Thursday – $11 for kids, $18 for adults
-
Friday – Sunday – $15 for kids, $23 for adults
-
