Historic Eidem Farm in Brooklyn Park is a charming, family-friendly destination that gives visitors a glimpse into farm life from the early 1900s. It’s a 19-acre living history farm, so it feels like you’re going back in time to experience life on a real 19th century potato farm. And except for special programming, you can visit for free!
The farm features a variety of activities for kids and adults, including:
- Animal Encounters: Meet and learn about farm animals like goats, ducks & chickens.
- Hands-on Activities: Participate in traditional farming tasks such as gardening, cooking, and hayrides.
- Special Events: Enjoy seasonal events like fall harvest festivals and holiday celebrations with crafts, games, and food.

“Stories on the Porch” is on Tuesdays at 11:00am, weather permitting. Afterward, kids can play in the farm yard.
We visited for this and it was cute. It’s best for younger kids.

Be sure to explore the secret garden!

There are farm animals to meet too.
