WE Chalk Festival is back! It’s a FREE, 2-day, family-friendly chalk art experience at the Shops at West End in St. Louis Park, MN!
WE Chalk is Saturday, July 26th and Sunday, July 27th, from 10:00am – 5:00pm both days. It’s sponsored by Canvas Convergence, a new 3D immersive arts experience gallery in St. Louis Park, along with the Star Tribune, The Shops at West End, and Discover St. Louis Park.
There will also be a kids chalking zone, a chalk mandala that everyone can help color in, food trucks and vendors!
This event will bring in some of the most well-known chalk artists from around the country including 2D and 3D artists. They will create their masterpieces on gGamble Drive for all to see. Some of the participating artists include:

About the founder, Shawn:
Did you know the founder, Shawn, did the incredible ceiling art at Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store? And at many other locations and festivals around the country? Here’s his bio:
As an artist, Shawn McCann is one who loves to explore the relationship of art, space, and interaction. Having graduated the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a BFA, Shawn has grown into a multi-media, multi-disciplinary artist whose work explores color, texture, form, and content. This approach has led to the many areas in which Shawn’s work has encompassed including; street painting, murals, fine art, children’s books, installation art, temporary and permanent art and commercial illustration. He has been featured at numerous street painting festivals throughout the us and overseas and has worked on projectssuch as Exhibition sized pieces and corporate clients. His work has won numerous awards, been a NEA grant recipient, and is held in private and public collections, and has also been featured twice at the LA Times Festival of Books as a featured illustrator. Shawn was one of the few American artists chosen to participate in the Dubai Canvas, one of the most prestigious street art festivals in the world, and currently organizes 6 street art festivals throughout the midwest. Shawn also created and started Canvas Convergence, an Arts Immersive 3D gallery in The Shops at West End, Nov 2023.
