This year – 2024 – KIDS can get FREE admission at North Commons Water Park in Minneapolis all summer long!
In 2021, commissioners for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) voted to eliminate the $5 and $3 admission fees at North Commons Water Park.
Then in 2023 they brought the fees back for adults, but kept it Fee-FREE for youth under age 18 (kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult).
Important: Kids 12 and under need an adult to supervise and adults do need to pay. Keep that in mind. It’s $5 for swimming adults, and $3 for non-swimming adults. Note: I heard that the fees are cash only, though it doesn’t say that on their website. My tip: Be prepared to pay cash for adults.
All rules at the water park still apply of course, including appropriate swim attire and supervision or companions for children 12 and under.
Teen passes are required for teens age 13 to 17. These are also free but required for entry.
The water park opens on June 15th and is open until September 2nd!

The water park features:
- Drinking Fountain
- Restroom Facility
- Loop Slides
- Shallow Water Pool
- Water Playground Features
