Check this out – it’s the 2nd annual Kismet in Carlton Hot Air Balloon Festival!
Go for a fun weekend road trip up to Carlton, MN, which is just off of I-35, south of Duluth, and you can see at least 10 hot air balloons, and even go for a ride in one!
It’s located at Black Bear Casino Resort, and is on Friday, September 15th and Saturday, September 16th from 12:00pm to midnight.
During the day, there will be up-down balloon rides, and then after the sun sets, there will be a special Glow Event featuring the balloons!

Cost for balloon rides:
Tethered Rides: Ages 15 and under $10.
Tethered Rides: Ages 16+ $20.

Either way, there will also be numerous food trucks for you to enjoy, and LIVE MUSIC ALL DAY!
TIP!
This event is VERY close to a super fun museum: the Pine County History Museum in Askov! We visited there this summer and loved it.
