This year’s Museum Day is Saturday, September 18th, 2021! The Museum Day Live! ticket provides free admission for two people on that day. You can now sign up for your free tickets!
Go to http://www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/ to sign up for TWO FREE ADMISSIONS to the local participating museum of your choice on Saturday, September 18th, 2021. Just fill in the form online and the ticket (valid for 2) will be emailed to you.
Each household is limited to one ticket which is good for 2 free admissions.
This great deal is sponsored by the Smithsonian Magazine and there have always been several participating museums in the Twin Cities area, including some I had never heard of (plus several more throughout Minnesota).
However, this year there are fewer museums participating.
Museums in the Twin Cities area include:
Hmong Cultural Center of Minnesota – St. Paul
The Museum of Russian Art – Minneapolis
Museums in Minnesota beyond the Twin Cities include:
Hillstrom Museum of Art – St. Peter (free every day)
I’m kind of bummed that there aren’t as many museums this year but also not surprised due to COVID. But hey – a few are better than none.
Which museum will you go to?
(Don’t forget the MELSA SmARTPass program that gives you free admission to museums and shows year-round with your library card!)
