Here’s the view from entering the parking lot:

There were several lighted “tunnels” that you drove through.
The line moved continuously but slowly, so we could really take it all in. There were lighted objects all along the path which just spiraled around the parking lot. The whole “length” of the drive is about a mile.
There were lit-up characters that even “sang” with the music (well, it looked like they were singing, ha). And the tall Christmas tree was a lot like the one at Bentleyville in Duluth, which they’ve had up there for years.
VIDEO!
This almost 2-minute video I put together gives a good glimpse of what it’s like:
Was it worth it?
To me, $30 is reasonable for this event. It moved along and “lit up” our evening (sorry, I’m still in a good mood from the event and keep using puns!).
It’s not huge and the route isn’t long, so don’t come expecting anything elaborate. But it’s well put together and a good option for families. And definitely in the “mid-range” for price for drive-thru events this season (see my guide below).
The music is fun and upbeat and has enough variety for all tastes.
Plus I’m loving that events like this are for EVERYONE – old and young, abled and disabled. Walking through a display outside in the cold in Minnesota isn’t as fun in many ways, but driving IS!
For these reasons, why didn’t these events exist a long time ago???
