So much has changed this year due to COVID-19, but thankfully, many family attractions are adapting so that they can still be open but in new, creative and safe ways!
One such attraction is Sever’s Fall Festival in Shakopee, which is one of our family’s favorite places to visit each fall. They have a fall festival each year with a corn maze, live animals, food galore and so much more. We can easily spend a whole day here!
However, this year, Sever’s Fall Festival & Corn Maze will be a bit different. It’s still happening! But capacity is going to be limited to allow for social distancing.
And they are offering a unique drive-thru event this fall as well!
It’s called Sever’s Stories, Riddles, & Rhymes, and it’s a safe storytime adventure with magic, humor and visuals.
The folks at Sever’s Fall Festival have teamed up with Minnesota artist, Brian Sobaski, to bring this innovative outdoor drive-thru storytime event to the festival grounds in Shakopee.
“What started as sketches on paper are now incredibly creative artistic installations,” says Nicola Peterson with Sever’s. “We can’t wait for families to see what we’ve been working on all summer and experience what happens when you take original stories and characters and bring them to life!”
This unique adventure includes a 3/4 mile magical trail through tree farms, cornfields, and rural prairie. Families will be able to enjoy humorous rhymes, riddles and large scale illustrations that give readers of all ages a whole new take on storytime. There will be a huge treasure hunt, a larger than life chicken samurai, a zany squirrel named Hayley with her adorable pumpkin pet, and a lot more!
They even have a whole other website for it. Check out the “Severs Riddles and Rhymes” website for more information!
