It’s September, and I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling colder already. I even have space heaters on in our house (not turning on the central heat yet!).
I just updated my Deals & Events Calendar for September and am blown away at what an awesome month it is going to be in the Twin Cities! There are so many cool things going on, and I will be adding more events as I heard of them! Some highlights include:
- The Minnesota State Fair continues through Labor Day, September 2nd! Check out my guide “How to Save Money at the Minnesota State Fair 2019.”
- LEGO Sea Explorers continues at the SEA LIFE Aquarium at the Mall of America through Labor Day. Read about our experience and save on admission here!

- There are several Labor Day thrift store sales!
- There are many festivals and the Minnesota Renaissance Festival continues through the month! Save on tickets here!
- The Minnesota Children’s Museum has an ongoing event: Rube Goldberg™: The World of Hilarious Invention! It goes through September 8th. Save $2 per admission with my code TCFM when you buy your tickets online.
- There are some “End of Summer” celebrations for families the first week of September. (Not sure I would celebrate the end of summer? But they sound like fun events!)
- There are a few kids consignment sales! It’s a great way to stock up on kids’ stuff like clothing to baby equipment and toys and more! Check out the Minnesota Valley Mothers of Multiples Fall Kids Sale on Saturday, September 14th, for example!
- Fall corn mazes start! Check out Severs Corn Maze and watch for a ticket giveaway on my site this month!
- And so much more…
