The 2019 Super Bowl is on Sunday, February 3rd, and after the long January we had here in Minnesota, I’m sooo ready for an amazing weekend of food, fun and of course, the BIG GAME!
A Super Bowl party is the EASIEST party to throw. Food, decorations, and a good TV are basically all you really need, but there are a few items that can help make your party stand out easily, and they don’t cost a lot.
Whether you’re hosting a big party or just hanging out with a few friends, I’ve compiled a list of a few essentials for your Super Bowl Party. Here are a few low-cost decorations and supplies, some budget-friendly, versatile kitchen appliances and even some tasty food and drink!
Decorations
What’s a Superbowl party without some football-themed decorations?
You can find some great football-themed decorations at Jet.com, including this great tablecloth, cute straws and a pinata for some extra entertainment while you’re watching the Big Game. (What I like about jet.com is that there are no membership fees, the selection is huge and you get shipping on orders over $35.)
NFL Table Cover, $5.38 (Jet.com)
Show off your team spirit with this NFL Table Cover. It’s ideal for laying out under all the munchies and features the official logo, so you can cheer for all your favorite teams and players.
Football Straws, $4.71 (Jet.com)

Football Pinata, $13.99, (Jet.com)
Fun for both kids and adults, this pinata can be filled with up to 2 lbs of candy. Great for a football-themed birthday party, too!
White Plastic Cups $7.53, (Jet.com)
A party staple – shipped to your door. You can find many basics like these on jet.com.
Food
Everyone loves some good food during the game, but it should be fun to prepare, too.
So to start, what’s a Super Bowl party without some sliders and hot dogs?
This George Foreman Indoor/Outdoor Electric Grill has room for over 15 servings of delicious meats, veggies, kabobs, desserts, and more! It’s electric so you don’t need messy charcoal, it has a removable stand so you can cook with it on the counter instead if you want, plus it has the famous George Foreman fat-removing slope so you can grill more healthfully. And it’s apartment approved! It’s $99.99 (on sale for $69.99) and you can pick it up at your local Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond or on Amazon.com.
A Slow Cooker
When you’re entertaining a bunch of people, meal prep is key – which is why a slow cooker (or two) is a MUST-HAVE for parties, especially in your frugal kitchen!
I love this 6-Quart Slow Cooker from BLACK+DECKER. It’s WiFi Enabled so you can use your mobile device to set time and temperature, and to start or stop cooking. Basically set it and forget it, or use your mobile device like a magic wand to control your slow cooker even while you’re away. Just install the free app on your phone and connect the slow cooker to your home’s WiFi to get it set up.
This retails for $49.99 at Walmart.
A versatile pizza pan
Everyone loves pizza, but many of us in the Midwest love our deep dish pizza. But instead of ordering it, why not make it at home and save some money? You can even make it into a fun activity for the kids!
This Deep Dish Pizza Pan from Chicago Metallic ($18.99) is not just for deep dish pizza (and any other kind of pizza), but it’s also great for nachos, cookie cakes and more.
Freezable Beer/Beverage Glasses
For the beer lovers – impress your guests by serving their brew in these Freezable Beer Glasses from Rabbit. They’re $35 from RabbitWine.com. They keep beer cold to the very last sip while the silicone sleeve keeps your hands from getting cold. They’re also good for sodas and just about any other beverage you want to keep cold!
Cheese Board – and Cheese
And what’s a party without a cheese board?
In keeping with the theme, serve your cheese on an adorable Football Cutting Board. It’s under $25 from Jet.com.
This one features an assortment of different cheeses from Ellsworth Creamery located in the cheese capital of the country, Wisconsin.
- They have a variety of flavors, including Roasted Garlic and tomato basil, pepperoni and marinara, vegetable and sweet basil, salsa and cilantro and smoked cheddar.
- They’re each under $5.

Wine
And what goes better with cheese than wine?
There’s a good chance not everyone at your Super Bowl party will be a beer drinker. So for the wine lovers, [Yellow Tail] is a great choice. They have a great variety of wines and I chose the Chardonnay (which pairs well with cheeses) and the Cabernet Sauvignon (a great complement for your sliders and grilled meats). And they ship to your door! How fun is it to have wine shipped to your house!
Plus, they won’t break the bank, each if these is under $7!
