Looking for indoor and educational fun during winter break? Visit the Bakken Museum in Minneapolis!
The Bakken Museum is a great place to spend the day in the wintertime because they are located in a cozy historic mansion overlooking Lake Calhoun.
On Saturdays their Science Studio is open with fun, interactive, science activities for people of all ages. Families can come learn and play with science every day, but on Saturdays they have added programming in The Great Hall. However, during winter break from 10am-4:30pm they also have their Science Studio open (Dec. 23, 29, 30, and 31st). This month the theme is “Light the lights” and families can create their own light-up cards to bring home, play with our giant plasma globe, build circuits, and make designs on our huge light bright table! All activities are included with the price of admission. More info can be found here: https://thebakken.org/science-
General admission is $10. Children 3 and under are FREE.
