Little Peanut on the Go - a NEW App for Parents, created by Twin Cities mom Karla Lemmon

I want to introduce you to Karla Lemmon, a Twin Cities mom and creator of a NEW app for parents called Little Peanut on the Go. I met her recently at the Moms Rock! Expo in Minneapolis. Little Peanut on the Go is a personal assistant mobile app used by parents for occasions when they or their children are away from home. Parents can create packing lists and to-do lists, build care schedules to share with caregivers, and connect with their children with updates and photos while they’re away.

With Little Peanut on the Go, parents can create any number of plans. A plan could be a date night, a family vacation, or a weekend with Grandma and Grandpa – any occasion when parents or their children are away from home. Within each plan you can create a packing list, a to-do list, a childcare schedule, or all three.

Let’s say the kids are visiting Grandma and Grandpa for the week. You can create a plan for those days and inside the plan you can quickly build a packing list by selecting items from a library, or by creating your own items. Each item is assigned to the right child, and you can set reminders for the important things. As you pack, you can check off an item and it will be moved to the packed list. You can also create a to-do list of the things you need to take care of before the kids leave.

Then you can create a care schedule for your children that includes daily items like bottles, mealtimes, naptimes, and bedtimes. This daily schedule will automatically populate every day of the plan. Special events such as swimming lessons and soccer practice can be added for the plan’s time period, too.

Next you can assign Grandma and Grandpa as the caregiver to the plan, and after they download the app they will have access to your contact information and your children’s information, including emergency contacts, doctors, dentists, and medical facilities, plus the care schedule. Grandma and Grandpa can post updates and photos from your children’s day in the app, and you can respond back, too, giving you a great connection while they’re away.

Little Peanut on the Go – it’s packing, planning, and connecting – all in one easy-to-use app. The greatest aspect of the app is its flexibility since you can use it for a simple schedule for a sitter, a quick packing list for daycare, a whole week with grandparents, or communication with your summer nanny. It’s an easy way to simplify your on-the-go life, plus be assured that your children are well cared for.
