There’s a hidden gem for families in Ham Lake, just north of Blaine, called Brown Family Adventure Park. I had no idea it was there myself, until I recently found a coupon for them in my Kidstuff Coupon Book.
Brown Family Adventure Park is located at 14200 Lincoln St. NE, Suite 500, in Ham Lake. It’s just west of Highway 65/Central Ave., tucked away on a quiet street surrounded by neighborhoods and a few other businesses. 
When you go in it’s bright, cheerful and decorated with a tropical flair – with animals and palm trees on the walls, plus a welcoming cabana-inspired check-in counter and concessions area. And their staff are friendly and cheerful!
There are plenty of tables and chairs for parents to sit and watch, or families to enjoy a meal together. When you enter there are cubbies to put your belongings. 
Food options are affordable. You can enjoy a pizza for $10.99 or a meal such as chicken nuggets or mac & cheese. There are also snacks – including many healthful choices like fresh fruit, yogurt, apple sauce and cheese sticks. I bought my kids an apple and cheese stick.
The only things I would like to see them add are smoothies and other “tropical” goodies to fit their theme!
The play area (the most important part!) is a big jungle gym with slides, tunnels, and many other interactive toys such as bouncy balls. The separate toddler area has fun smaller structures for tots to climb in, and lots of play mats, toys and slides to enjoy.
My kids played on everything. My 7-year-old loved the bigger structures and slides, and my 4-year-old liked the toddler area with the smaller structures he could climb to the top of! Plus there were more toys and things to do for kids his age there.
Cost? Admission is $7.00 per child, ages 1-12 (updated 2016). Licensed daycare admission is $5.00 per child. You can also buy 10-punch passes and annual passes.

No outside food or drink permitted except for water bottles, baby bottles and your favorite cup of coffee. Socks are required. Note that they don’t accept credit cards or checks, so be prepared to bring cash!!! (They have an ATM on site if you need it.)
They’re open every day except Mondays (except holiday Mondays). Their hours are 9:30 – 4:00 Tuesdays to Thursdays, 9:30 – 7:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12:00 – 5:00 on Sundays. That’s a lot of hours of open playtime!
Brown Family Adventure Park is a great place for birthday parties. Cost is $145.00 for 10 kids plus the birthday boy/girl from Monday to Thursday or $160.00 Friday to Sunday.
