I’m a health-food snacker. I love anything that tastes good and is healthful, too (especially now in the winter as it’s so tempting to hide under a blanket and snack when it’s some-crazy-number-below-zero-outside!).
This is why I was happy to try snacks sent to me by Food Should Taste Good to review with my family.
Food Should Taste Good graciously sent me several varieties of their tortilla chips: Multigrain, Blue Corn, Sweet Potato, and their limited edition Harvest Pumpkin.
When they arrived, I opened up the Sweet Potato chips to try. My kids noticed, tried some and before long, the whole bag was gone before I even had a chance to take a picture (so it’s actually an empty bag in this picture!).
Food Should Taste Good snacks were created in 2006 by founder Pete Lescoe who had the one goal of making unique, wholesome snacks that taste great.
All Food Should Taste Good™chips are made from high quality ingredients. They are gluten free, cholesterol free, and have zero grams trans fats. They are also certified Kosher. Plus, many varieties are certified vegan.
The next bag we tried was the Harvest Pumpkin. With a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg, the chips tasted like pumpkin pie, but crunchy and with a little salt. I enjoyed most of this bag myself. They were good plain, but are also great paired with various dips and salsas.
My 4-year-old and I tested the remaining varieties together – the Multigrain and Blue Corn. My 4-year-old really liked both, but especially the Blue Corn chips as he ate a whole bowl as I took pictures and sampled both myself.
The one thing I notice when snacking on Food Should Taste Good tortilla chips is how good I feel both when eating them and after. Junk foods make me feel sick afterward, but Food Should Taste Good snacks make me feel full, satisfied and energized after eating them.
Looking at the ingredients for the Harvest Pumpkin chips, for example, it’s easy to agree this is how all tortilla chips and snacks should be made:
Harvest Pumpkin Ingredients
Stone Ground Corn, High Oleic Sunflower Oil and/or Safflower Oil and/or Canola Oil, Cane Sugar, Dried Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Allspice, Nutmeg, Sea Salt, Clove.
THAT’S IT!
This is the kind of food I feel good about my kids eating. They don’t care what’s in it – as long as it tastes good.
The chips also look exactly as they’re pictured on the covers of the bags. Hearty texture and crunchy taste with just the right hint of salt and sweetness.
Food Should Taste Good products are also always made without GMO ingredients.
And they’re available at grocery stores as well as natural food stores. Learn more at their website here.
