As a lifelong musician (and church musician), I am excited to share a Christmas concert event designed for families with little ones (how many do you find like that?) coming up this Saturday, December 13th at 10:00am!
The Christmas season is a joyous time for children, and choral ensemble VocalEssence brings joy, traditional holiday tunes and a little bit of silliness with the family friendly annual one-hour Star of Wonder concert. Get into the holiday with the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers—accompanied by dancers from Fowell Performing Arts Magnet and fiddler Sara Pajunen.
A concert for the whole family (including teddy bears!) but made for kids, little ones can sit as close as they like for an introduction to choral music. You will hear favorite holiday carols as well as a rousing rendition of ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’–with a bit of a goofy spin, of course!
Conducted by Philip Brunelle, the Star of Wonder concert will feature beloved holiday music as well as kid-approved fun!
“The Star of Wonder concert introduces children to choral music by letting them sit right up front right next to our Ensemble,” says Brunelle. “And who doesn’t love a little silliness? The whole family will love our goofy rendition of ‘Twelve Days of Christmas!’”
The Star of Wonder Concert will be Sat., Dec 13 at 10 a.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church.
