I visited with my family recently and here’s my review with lots of photos, plus a list I put together of 6 ways to save on admission! We had so much fun and highly recommend visiting with kids of any age!
A fascinating new exhibit will be opening at the SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium in June called “CLAWS.” The world’s largest crab species – Japanese Spider Crabs – will arrive in Minnesota for the first time. Many other crustaceans will be featured in this new interactive exhibit including Coconut Crabs. CLAWS will be replacing the Octopus Garden exhibit which ended on May 14th.
SEA LIFE Minnesota is also searching for the Midwest’s crabbiest kid. Right now, parents can submit a picture, video, or story of their crabby kid on SEA LIFE Minnesota’s facebook page. The submission with the most likes will win a VIP CLAWS experience and a chance to see the exhibit before it opens to the public.
In addition, you can win a 4-pack of tickets for your family RIGHT HERE at Twin Cities Frugal Mom. To enter, all you have to do is fill out the Rafflecopter form below by 11:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9th. A winner will be randomly selected on Tuesday, June 10th.

ALL OF IT! I was there once years ago when it first opened and it was a pain. I was a kid and we had to listen to walkmen to tell you about what was what but I was too young to know how to find them in the tanks! My boys are huge into sea life, animals, and adventure this would be just their thing!

Our family LOVES Sea Life! We park in the lot at the entrance to Sea Life, go through the exhibit, and then go through again on our way out since the admission is for all day. My daughter grew up visiting there at least once per year. Now she and her husband are planning a trip to Minneapolis with her goddaughter and a nephew. They would love to share Sea World with these two kids.
We love the tunnel with the fish swimming over the top and all sides!!
