After a long, cold winter, I don’t think many Minnesotans are looking for excuses to go outside, but just to make it even more enticing – National Kids to Parks Day is Saturday, May 17th and people are encouraged to take their families to local parks to participate in over 1000 events taking place nationwide!
There are dozens of events happening right here throughout Minnesota – many on the 17th, many on other dates in May.
For example, at Rosland Park in Edina on Saturday, May 17th from 10 – 1, an event includes: Bike helmets/safety with a bike rodeo; camping trends and tips; healthy trail mix station; fishing; frisbee; SNAG golf; live animals; costumed interpreters with artifact hunt; nature digital scavenger hunt. Look for a local event here.
One park we love (pictured above) is Elm Creek Park in Maple Grove! (Check out my review with photos.)
