We recently attended a birthday party that my 5-year-old daughter was invited to at an indoor play park called Adventure Peak in Edina. It was our first time there and wow, there was quite a lot of fun for kids. The energy was crazy with multiple birthday parties going on at the same time and kids running everywhere (literally). We were there on a Saturday, so I’d recommend going on a weekday if you want a quieter escape for your kids!
Edinborough Park is a huge indoor park with fitness facilities and the Adventure Peak indoor playground, all surrounded by lush, green, and dense landscaping. From the outside it looks like a business or hotel facility, but is gorgeous when you go inside, and even includes a café for meals and snacks.
Throughout the facility and surrounding the play area, there are various levels with reserved areas for birthday parties. They’re all out in the open, though, so if you have a birthday party here, expect no privacy! My 2-year-old son kept going into another kid’s birthday party area because they had a neat car-themed stroller that he wanted to ride in. It’s also hard to have a conversation anywhere here, because of all the noise. So don’t plan on having any games or activities that require any amount of focus. The kids will just want to play, play, play!
The play area is very tall, and is known as one of the largest indoor play structures in the country, There is a tot area with structures just for little ones.
There’s also the Great Hall, which is a big gym with balls and an inflatable bouncy house available at specified times. My kids seemed to want to spend more time in here than in the Adventure Peak area!
Heidi loved the inflatable bouncy house!
