As a parent you probably have noticed there has been a tremendous amount of growth in the area of STEM learning!
STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics. STEM is not only a popular curriculum in schools, but it’s finding its way into everything kids do – toys, after-school activities, and even birthday parties.
Why is it so popular?
Science and technology is growing fast around the world – in fact, STEM occupations are growing at 17%, while others are growing at 9.8%. If you have a degree in a STEM-related field, you’re more likely to have a higher income, and you’ll play a key role in the future of the U.S. economy. So it’s definitely important to expose our kids as early as possible.
And right now there’s an amazing opportunity for people in the Twin Cities (including moms!) to help further this growth!
Snapology
Snapology is a kids franchise that offers hands-on activities for children ages 1-14 using LEGO® bricks, K’Nex and technology. They create STEM learning experiences (and fun!) through:
- Camps
- Workshops
- Field Trips
- Enrichment Classes
- Birthday Parties
- Custom Events
- Play Dates
- Scouting Events
- Parents Night Out
- Anti-Bullying Programs
- Assemblies
They even do corporate team building and corporate meeting facilitation.
There is currently a Snapology in Minneapolis, but there are opportunities for more in Minnesota, such as St. Paul!
What I love about Snapology is their emphasis on PLAY. Recently I wrote about the important of play in my experience as a Play Advocate for the Minnesota Children’s Museum. Children learn when they play, especially when enough time, space and freedom for it.
My kids love to play with LEGOs and other toys that help them build things while thinking creatively. And we’re always checking out books from the library about science and math to keep their interest growing!
Snapology offers a variety of opportunities for play. For example, their preschool after school program teaches kids robotics and coding as early as age 3!
Snapology’s themed programs are designed to promote creative play, teamwork and social skills – and themes include Minecraft, Star Wars and Superheroes so kids have fun while learning.

Love E-STEM
I have never heard of Snapology. We LOVE using STEM in our schooling.
This sounds fabulous! Would love to see more pop up around the cities.
Sounds wonderful
Definitely going to check out Snapology!
Sounds very cool! Would love to try.
Stem is amazing! Thanks to Snapology for doing this for kids!
My kids are just discovering Lego – it’s been so much fun to watch!
This could be a cool place to check out for our school’s Exploratory Day. I’m guessing we’d have some kids in grades 5-8 who would really dig spending time at a place like this.
Snapology?! What a GREAT idea!
Sounds like a really fun program!
This would be wonderful to win! So cool 🙂
Good to hear that there’s a place that kids can go to for educational learning!
