I first heard about Big Frog earlier this year from my work with Twin Cities Kids Club. We ordered our Twin Cities Kids Club t-shirts from Big Frog and were happy with our experience and how they turned out:
So, recently my son and I stopped by Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More to chat with their employees and learn about the fun work they get to do.
Big Frog in Bloomington is a franchise owned by Kevin Mendel, a former director of home delivery, supply chain solutions and transportation operations at Best Buy. When Kevin was laid off in 2012 after 26 years, he consulted with a franchise broker to explore options for business ownership. He narrowed his choices to about 7 including a sign company, a painting company and one specializing in emergency restoration/cleaning. When custom t-shirt company Big Frog came up as an option, it was a no brainer. “I wanted to be able to have fun with what I’m doing.” he said.
With a team of four, “Where Fun is Always Celebrated!” as a motto, and customers, calls and orders coming in continuously, I could see that the Big Frog team members thrive at what they do, enjoy it, and love to make their customers happy. They’ve even been voted Best Specialty Clothing Store in Bloomington the past 2 years in a row!

(Kevin showed me a website they set up for an organization and I could see how visitors can preview how their apparel will look – it was super easy!)
