My kids and I are big fans of the locally produced kids’ TV show, The Choo Choo Bob Show, which you might have guessed by all the Choo Choo Bob events I’ve shared on my Deals & Events Calendar!
We’ve visited their store in St. Paul and enjoyed story time with Engineer Paul, and we enjoy watching their show (which currently is on Saturday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. on Channel 45 in the Twin Cities). Our 2-year-old, Thor, absolutely LOVES trains and loves the show and all its wacky characters, especially Charles the Rat!
Well, I’ve just learned that Choo Choo Bob and his friends will be performing live for free at the Minnesota State Fair on Aug. 30th and 31st, and I’m excited to share this with all of you who have little ones like mine who absolutely LOVE trains and The Choo Choo Bob Show!!!
If you’re going to the fair, note that they’ll be performing at the Minnesota State Fair’s Family Fun Stage at Baldwin Park on Friday, August 30th and Saturday, August 31st, with 30-minute shows at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.
After each performance, families can meet the entire cast, take pictures, get autographs and fun Choo Choo merchandise.

About The Choo Choo Bob Show:
The live-action show, produced in the Twin Cities, hearkens back to the time of whole-family-friendly children’s television programming like “The Muppets.” The program features main character Choo Choo Bob, who hangs out at his clubhouse with his best friend Richard W. Kornbelt and other pals, including Engineer Emily, Engineer Paul, Conductor Dave and Charles the Rat. Together, the gang has all kinds of adventures, including trips to imaginary Tinyland, visits to real working railroads across the United States, questions from kids, mischievous puppets and local and national musical guests like Haley Bonar, Ozomatli and Koo Koo Kangaroo.

My boys LOVE Choo Choo Bob. We first found them in 2010 when they were at the fair and we just keep seeing them. We turn the CD on full blast while driving and have been able to show friends the fun of Choo Choo Bob, the show, the store and the music.
